emergency nurses (New Zealand)
Chairperson:
Role of the
chairperson.
The Chairperson is
elected to represent the College of emergency Nurses and acts as an advocate
for Emergency Nurses and Emergency nursing.
-
Chair annual
general meetings, committee meetings, and any special executive meetings.
-
Receive reports
from sub committee meetings
-
Liaise with NZNO‘s
Co ordinator of Professional National Structure, and the Section and
College representative NZNO Board of Directors.
-
May be asked to
advise NZNO, the Nursing Council or other interested bodies on Emergency
Nursing issues.
-
Direct the affairs
of the section
-
Implement policy
decisions made at conference
-
Provide and
support to national committee and college members
-
Ex officio member
of all College of Emergency Nurses Committees.
-
Chairperson will
be remunerated $500.00 towards attending a conference of their choice
annually.
Vice Chairperson:
Acts as a deputy for
the Chairperson in such situations where Chairperson unable to attend.

Support the
chairperson’s duties
-
Implement policy
decisions made by conference
-
Provide support to
the National Committee and College Members
-
Speak on behalf of
the Emergency Nurses Section when required
Role of the
Secretary:
-
Organise
meetings/teleconferences in conjunction with committee members
-
Liaise with the
Chairperson over matters that need to be dealt with, eg Agendas
correspondence received and sent.

Prepare minutes
and send to all members within specified time
-
Circulate all
relevant correspondence as applicable
-
Keep all files in
order and keep records of all data received
-
Keep an updated
list of all national committee members address, phone/fax numbers
Role of the Treasurer
-
Keep the financial
accounts for the section
-
Supply a financial
report each year to NZNO on proposed balance sheet for the next year
-
Present the annual
budget to the Annual General Meetings
-
Ensure an annual
audit of accounts for presentation to the Annual General Meetings.
