Mission
Eligibility
-
Full Membership
is open to all registered nurses.

Associate
Membership
is available to Enrolled Nurses, medical and paramedical professions
subscribing to the purpose of the Association and agreeing to abide by the
constitution and by-laws and acceptable to the committee.
Aims
& Objectives
-
Define and
maintain
the standards of emergency nursing practice.
-
Initiate and
support
relevant nursing research and evidence based practice.
-
Define and
maintain
the education and specialised skills of emergency nurses.
-
Communicate
with educational, scientific and professional bodies (local, national or
international) which are involved in or associated with emergency
healthcare and associated disciplines.
-
Provide
the nursing perspective on emergency healthcare issues.
-
Publish
educational materials, newsletters, journals and other writings related to
emergency nursing.
-
Foster
collegiality among emergency nurses.
-
Establish and
maintain
a national membership of emergency nurses.
-
Support and
promote
the activities of the state branches.
-
Engage
in any other activity and do all such other acts in accordance with the
laws of New Zealand and CENNZ’s Constitution as may be incidental or
conducive to the promotion or carrying into effect of the objectives of
CENNZ.
-
Provide leadership,
representation and support for emergency nurses; promote optimum practice
and challenge existing boundaries; to promote equity of access for members
to CENNZ’s services and forums.
